with how big (and heavy) these cameras are, I wouldn't be surprised if stephen is actually really buff with all the lifting he has to do when he vlogs (phone vlogs notwithstanding)

I know nothing about cameras, but all I can say is WOW that's a nice camera! I'm always excited for the upgrades the channels get, even if I have no idea of the difference 🤣
Edit: also whenever Stephen said "we'll talk about it in a few weeks" we immediately know it's probably related to Extra Life and streams and that's exciting!!!
I'm not too interested in cameras and I admit I barely noticed the quality difference when Stephen went back to the flip camera for the 10th anniversary video - but I still enjoy this just because it's nice to see someone getting excited over a piece of electronic equipment that is both modern and high-quality. That's so rare nowadays, when it feels like so many things we used to take for granted you could buy quality for (e.g. hi-fi for the Techmoan viewers) are now either cheap mass produced rubbish, or being told to use a shitty app on a smartphone instead of an actual piece of electronics.
So I do a lot of live production at churches that are big enough to warrant a production team. Black Magic definitely is worth it for the price, and it tends to be somewhat user friendly (so long as you understand that sometimes Black Magic refuses to play nice with non-Black Magic), so great for church application.
It’s just funny that churches tend to be a huge buyer of Black Magic.
I actually have some friends in church production and they rely on a lot of Blackmagic products as well! They make great studio gear, and churches are basically giant studios.

I've also loved the Pocket 4K since I picked it up in 2019. It's a fun camera, and for the value what you get from it is almost unmatched like you said. I made an indie feature film with it and aside from changing batteries every 20 minutes I have no complaints!
I now even have a giant USB-C mountable power brick that'll keep the Pocket 4k running for almost FOUR HOURS. So no more batteries! Which is wild. Anyways cool to see a live production version of the camera now available. Hadn't heard about that, thanks for putting in on my radar!

Does the Pocket 4K not have the gyro stabilisation? Battery life is poor, but I guess it would mostly be used with wall power, or rigged with a V-mount.
So I'm assuming a camera like that would be easy to mount onto someone's chest, correct?
I'm just curious about this Stephen. What changed between 2018 till now in regard to buying Panasonic products since the whole warranty problem you had. Or was that just meant to be for the cameras themselves and not the lenses.
I wondered that he didn't mention it due to recently editing some of those relevant 2018 vlogs, but I think he doesn't like to show evidence of the timeline split in the vlogs to date them - he might mention it on Breakfast Stream.
I still hold a major grudge against Panasonic and have done my best to move away from their products, but I have to be honest about the things that truly do work well. Mal's been using the GH4 as a MalMakes studio camera since the launch of her channel with absolutely no problems, and that's commendable. Likewise, the 12-35mm 2.8 lens is one of the best MFT lenses you can buy. The Blackmagic cameras we have all use MFT lenses, which means that Panasonic was just the best choice for our needs, somewhat unfortunately.

@@BlameThande I mean it makes sense to not mention the split for new viewers who wanna take The Journey in chronological order and by the time they got to the 2018 vlogs it won't seem confusing because almost all the old timeline vlogs will be out and when they get to the recent vlogs they won't notice the timeline split hardly if at all except when he has mentioned every now and then of him finishing the editing for any of the 2018 vlogs

I would, if only because I'm also archiving all these videos locally for myself. If another site replaces RUclips someday, I want to have a high quality archive ready to go.
Just curious, what ever happened to the Sony FX3 you recieved?
I still use it for miscellaneous projects: Patreon videos, occasional vlogs, all the TRG Colo bumpers, and sometimes as a stream camera. I keep it in a pelican case with a lot of accessories so I can quickly grab the case if I need to take a nice camera somewhere.
